Fjórða árið í röð standa Íslenski ferðaklasinn og Ferðamálastofa að viðburðinum Iceland Travel Tech. Með viðburðinum er ætlunin að tengja saman tækniaðila og ferðaþjónustu með það fyrir augum að efla samkeppnishæfni og auka verðmætasköpun í íslenskri ferðaþjónustu.

Viðburðurinn í ár fer fram þann 19.maí frá 13:00-16:00 og verður haldin í raunheimum en heimili Iceland Travel Tech verður Gróska, nýsköpunar og hugmyndahús í Vatnsmýrinni.  Viðburðurinn er einnig hluti af Nýsköpunarvikunni sem fram fer víða um borg og bý frá 16 – 20.maí.  Upptaka af viðburðinum verður aðgengileg síðar.

Í ár eru þrjú mismunandi þemu en þau eru:

1. Ný tækni: Er ég mögulega að missa af einhverju og hvað þarf ég að vita?

2. Praktísk tækni: Hvernig spara ég tíma og peninga? Kynnumst þremur áskorunum og lausnum

3. Sjálfbærni, tækni og netöryggi: Getur rétt tækni hjálpað mér með sjálfbærni? Fer það alltaf saman eða hvað þarf að varast?

Við höfum fengið til liðs við okkur frábæra fyrirlesara úr öllum áttum og hlökkum til að kynna þá fyrir ykkur hvern á fætur öðrum.

Frábær dagskrá sem er öllum að kostnaðarlausu en skráning er nauðsynleg.

Short version in English:
Iceland Travel Tech is a matchmaking event between tourism companies and technology and solution providers. The tourism sector is one of the most growing industries in the world, but it has been hit hard in the last two years. In the meantime, all kinds of digital and technical solutions have been developed to be better suited to answer the growing demand of customers to have more security, for the destinations to have better management regarding nature and for the changing recruitment of people into the industry.

The event will have a strong focus on People – Planet – Profit and our belief is that job creation in tourism can be much more creative, that we can use technology to manage delegated destinations for more regenerative tourism that will give the people, planet, and the businesses more sustainable profit for the longer run.

The event will be mixed with Icelandic and English with the participation of companies from the Nordics and Iceland.
